A traineeship is an education and training programme for young people to help them increase their employability.
It is aimed at 16 to 24-year-olds who are motivated to find work but don’t have the right skills or experience that employers are looking for.
Traineeships are a good way to provide experience, if you’ve been looking for an apprenticeship for a while or made some applications but have not been successful. They are delivered by training organisations in coordination with local employers so you could contact your local training provider to see what is available.
They are made up of three parts:
